The Amusement. Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

The Amusement.

Sitting in the shade of the tree
I looks on you every day evening
Remembering, relaxing, and analysing
The changes on your flow, and water ways
I remember the days of rage you have shown
In monsoon season while you becomes angry
Sitting in the shade of the tree
I looks on you every day morning
What I feel is the days already lost
The remembrance of your past, the good old days
When I sat here with my friend now no more
Saying good bye and farewell to me
Looking on your water ways and calm
I remember the value of friendship always
This world, you and I, the impermanence
The existence itself is a lucky thing
Thinking both of the value of friendship with you.
You never punished us with your rage
But made attempts to capsize my little boat
I know it was only an amusement to you.
