The American Apple Poem by RIC BASTASA

The American Apple

soping is another
filipina serving as
caregiver to a
hollywood once moviestar
who is suffering from
Alzheimer's disease

she, the aged moviestar
lives in a very big house
in such a way that
soping thinks that her
house in the philippines
is not even comparable to
the movie star's washroom.

well anyway, to cut the
story short, the aged star
is not enjoying what she has.

for the meantime, it is
soping's happy moments
taking selfie pictures in
every nook of the house
which she sends to her
daughter in the philippines
taking up a nursing course
for another dream of the
american apple.
