The Amazon, We Should Care Poem by Leah Ross

The Amazon, We Should Care

trust me on that
it's the only one we have
when it's gone it's gone
there is no do overs
People, animals plants live there
it's burning a record rate
we can talk & talk about it
till we are yellow in the face
Brazil can deploy thousands if not millions
to fight to battle it's going to take a brigade
we can talk about deforestation
climate change too
The amazon fires we should care
The amazon is the last remaining the only one we have
