The 5th Poem by Bragg Adocio

The 5th

Rating: 2.7

I never seem to be able to say the right thing to you so i find it more logical to not speak at all.
But i'm not a logical person, not around you, so, here I go again; throwing my heart onto the chopping block willingly, without the will nor reason to yell uncle.
Another silenced 'I love you' before goodnight.
Another urge to kiss you suppressed.
Another step in the wrong direction.
Given up on my freedom of speech,
My heart and tongue sit back, oppressed,
With no say in my selection.
I can't choose who they want, but I can stop them cold from getting it.
Hold them in contempt, for wanting, for speaking, for chasing without a permit,
For loving without a license,
And for j-walking into restricted areas.
I could hold them in contempt, oppress my tongue and heart, and squash any attempt, and continue to keep me and you apart. I haven't got a reason, but because mr. Better may exist.
With all my might I silence what's right and give mr. Might-be my goodnight kiss.
Im not a logical person, not around you, so I chose to restrain my lips.
Restrain my heart,
Oppress my love,
So you might enjoy his kiss.
