Another year has been and gone
supporting friends and family alike
in finding what passes the new normal
in supporting through every high and low
spring and summer rose and fell away
autumn too has played its part
now winters die has been cast
the decorations and lights
break the early onset of every night
to bathe us in colour and warmth
ready for gathered celebrations
where laughter and music are shared
with a merry festive cheer
to which I would like to wish
you all a merry Christmas
and a very happy new year
