Thank God It Is A Friday Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Worked all week as usual
Just to make ends meet
If I am to say the truth
I need some time to rest
Thank God it is a Friday
I will have a couple of days to rest
To replenish the body and soul
Replace the lost energy
Recharge the empty batteries
Reappraise my set goals
Realign my focus
Look at the realities
And check to remove the improbable
Then I will be more than ready for the next week.
