But, God is kinder than I thought;
He helped me win battles I fought;
From traps in life when I was caught,
A freedom, easily I got.

He cools me when I am quite hot;
Improves my destiny and lot;
He put me in a lofty slot,
Although I am an ‘earthen pot’!

He gives me yet, another start,
And does great things, as if by art;
I pray that He must never part
From me, till I, from earth depart.

‘Give me O God, a love-filled heart;
Reduce the pain of things I cart;
More thankful I must be and ought,
And not allow my soul to rot! ’
