Tender Is Poem by Gary James Smith

Tender Is

Tender Is

Tender is that time of prayer
That Jesus draws us to
To come apart from the world awhile
To have our spirit renewed
To take account again of God
That beside Him is none other
And rejoicing we have a hallelujah
Enjoying Him there my brother

Tender is His heart of love
That spent His life for us
What love poured out from Calvary
What glory in the Cross
The highest price for anything
Is the precious worth of a soul
May God direct our heart's in prayer
With a passion His love to show

Tender is time with the Master
For the refreshing that we need
To charge up our spiritual battery
So that others we may feed
For Christ's our bread...our water
There's soul satisfaction there
Hungering hearts definently nourished
In that sweet hour of prayer!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
