Temptation Bounds Me Poem by Ronald Chapman

Temptation Bounds Me

Because of you,
You're standing in front of me,
Tempting me with bright and boundless dreams,

Wishing to spend a lifetime with you,
Temptation bounds me, like a red thread tightening between our hearts,
But unable to say goodbye to this heartbroken life,

I know my head lays on your chest, in some far off time,
Listening to your strong heart calling out to me,
Come closer, in never ending dreams,

I keep looking for your Soul,
Behind your dark brown eyes,
Seeing only myself looking back at me from distant times,

Boundless dreams of an impossible life,
Rescuing me from a sorrowful Soul,
Calling out to me, come back home.
