Temporary Resident Poem by KUNAL SETH

Temporary Resident

Today I float like a bubble in your beautiful world
I am not trapped with delight
Just caught in the wrong frame
The one I have seen before
I am no surprise
I am no melody on a tuneless day
In your eyes I am a hurricane all dust and weed
I bled and you laughed on the St. Meaningless Street
Calmness and Composure you are moving in my way
I am about to burst myself spilling all over you
Will never show up in your mirror again
Tossed in the smoke you breathe
Like the seed in the summer with no reap
Never ever land cuz things will never be the same
I am just a temporary resident whom you always maim.

-A dedication to all the ones that were lit and landed in a ditch
