Telling A Lie Poem by Robert Trew

Telling A Lie

Going to tell this lie, it’s painted on my face
I told the lie, my head down in disgrace
They told me to go in there and give it a try
But in the end I walked away telling a lie
Hey, hey, just telling a lie,
Should have walked in showing her I was I,
But in the end I walked away telling a lie,
Hey, hey, just telling a lie
Should have told you only what is true,
Now I realize this is what I should do,
But in the end I walked away just telling a lie,
Hey, hey, just telling a lie.
