Taking Back The Staff



take back the staff
to stabilize yourself
on a broken hip
you cannot walk
straight.

you take comfort
on the staff and
the man beside you.

they've been there
long enough
but you disregarded
their presence.

now is the time to
bring back what
comfort was: not being
yourself.
