Take A Gander Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Take A Gander

Rating: 0.5

Just look at those angels all buff-
watercolor over steroids from wings up
brawny arms reaching toward lambs
frolicking on greens and in the rough.
Note the prophet sitting on a bough
of the black oak in the field outback,
tended by winged seraphs -
a sight for sore eyes!

Children play in pastel paradises
among meadows by babbling brooks -
their elders dwell in darker realms
and peer into the tyger's eye -
see the hammer and the chain
and a furnace burning malign!
