Tagore Song (170) Boatman By The Rowing Will Take Us Across

Rating: 5.0

(ore viru tomar hate nai vuboner var)

Hey scared one, obligation of the world
Does not depend on you
Boatman by rowing will take us across

If storm comes what may be your duty
Why worry, watch the wave-games,
Let the deep-night arrive
Let there be darkness
Boatman by rowing will take us across

Look at west, sky is overcast by cloud
Why not enjoy the stars in eastern sky?
Those accompanying are your relatives
Thinking could be rescued by your lap?
The storm will come scaring all hearts
There will be hue and cry
The boatman rowing will take us across

Relax, the world does not depend on you alone, enjoy the nature of our earth as others cross our paths, taking up the cause of humanity. Beautiful and inspiring poem, love the vibrant life of his words very much. Always I get some meaning from Tagore, he takes my mind on a voyage every time. Thank you for translating this one, Tushar, totally love it! RoseAnn
