Taciturn Poem by Josilinia Plyman

Taciturn

Rating: 5.0

Your eyes won’t meet mine
When I tell you
That I love you
Your hands won’t reach mine
When I tell you
I feel alone

Cold I stand here
You won’t look
At my bones anymore
My sight traces
Your spine

As you turn away
My Ragged breath betrays

Please just hold me
I don’t want to fall anymore
The floor is so hard
Spilled blood
Won’t keep me warm
Take me in your home

Make this place
Our cornerstone
Once more on sheets torn
My hope is reborn
Goosebumps and tear stains
My skin waits for your
Finger’s graze

It will always wait
I’ll always wait.
