Sweet Memory. Poem by Graham Jones

Sweet Memory.

As I close my eyes, I feel your breath
Trip softly past my ear
Your touch so gentle, feather like
Now brush away my fears

Your perfume hangs upon the air
As mornings early mist
To settle on my waiting lips
No longer to resist

My heart beats with an urgency
To the trembling felt within
Desire fulfilling wishes
Of a love thats not a sin

I cannot open up my eyes
To watch you fade away
And so I languish in a dream
Await the coming day.
