Sweet Dove, White Songbird Poem by M.J. McGuire

Sweet Dove, White Songbird

Sweet dove, white songbird,
Meet me in the jungle
Of the dark ethereal night.
Come to me...before I see
The Tyger's eyes that burn so bright.

Sweet dove, white songbird,
Phantom of the heavenly sphere,
Sing to me a song not sung,
Yet in my deafened ear.

Sweet dove, white songbird,
Make your orbit 'round my head.
Rest your wings upon my brow.
Raise me from the dead.
