Sustainable Environmental Conservation Poem by Mike Ssendikwanawa

Sustainable Environmental Conservation

Prolonged Droughts And Famine, Floodings Due To Heavy Rains And The Change Of Seasons From Their Known Norm; Are Some Of The Signs Alerting All Humankind About The Damage We've Exerted To The Dear Planetary Nature.

It's True That We've Made Several Advancements In Technology In Order To Ease Our Daily Living On Earth. The Manufacture Of Plastic Bags For Carriage And Packaging Of Commodities Is Good And Entrepreneurial. But After Their Intended Use, What's Next With The Waste They Create?

Frequent Use Of Artificial Fertilizers, Pesticides And Herbicides On Farm Lands Are All Important In Order To Meet The High Demand Of Food Supply Due To The Mushroom Growth Of Human Population Worldwide. But What Are The Side Effects Of Their Residues To The Earth's Soil Profile?

Due To Large Populations Today, There's Mass Clearing Of Vegetation Through Deforestation And Reclaiming Of Swamps In Order To Construct Buildings For Human Settlements And Economic Infrastructure Like; Roads And Factories. However, Though All The Latter Are Good, This Should Not Blind Us From Realizing The Capable Environmental Threats It Poses To The Planet.

Here Is The Way Forward; Sustainable Environmental Conservation Is Our Responsibility You And I, It Can Be Achieved Through; Recycling Used Plastics, Regulating The Use Of Artificial Fertilizers, Pesticides And Herbicides By Employing Biological Pest And Weed Control Means, With The Use Of Organic Manure To Improve On The Soil Fertility. Lastly, Regular Planting Of Trees Annually; Beginning With One (1) Tree Per Month Throughout Your Life On Earth.
