Survivor.....
how sad your poems are
how comforting to know that you have finally
found a vent from this sorrow.
i must admit deep within i am evasive.
i like to embrace (for now)joy rather
than sorrow, happiness rather than sadness.
in this time of covid, i simply want
to be alive and then survive.
so tonight i will write a song, a poem
that is so happy that it dances with me
alone in the dark with the shining moon.
