Surreal Penguins(For Lyn) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Surreal Penguins(For Lyn)

Rating: 5.0

Young nuns
frolic in the sea

Holy & jolly
on holiday

paddle & plash
habits hiked up

all squeals
& giggles

just like the other
young women

all bikinis
& minis,

Here, on their
day off

from God

they laugh
soak up splashed sunshine

the world
turned turquoise

azzure'd with blue.

The Heavens
miles above them

looking down on
their all too human antics.
