Sunny May Poem by Marilyn Jean

Sunny May

The warm light kissed us all day
The garden felt as a green bliss
The bees buzzed after their sweet pay
Little birds went tweet-tweet-tweet
One hen still rests in the dust and lay
Rejoice, life exults anew and thrusts

Letting our joyful minds transfixed
Today in England, Sunday 6th of May
Next, us, we simply surrender to enjoy
Summer unleashed a deep joy on its way
In the light, flowers' scents still play
Here is May, radiant in Summer's powers
