Summon Me To Wholeness Poem by Tondana Fatimah Seebaway

Summon Me To Wholeness

The trinket of love woven round your heart
Radiates such beauty and a brightness
Touching your foes and allies alike
Bringing forth sunshine into their lives

Your gait is steady and humble like you're walking on marble
The earth and its creatures feel the warmth of your every step
Your smile can melt a heart when you greet your brother
Your lips utter soft words only, bringing peace to the listener

The synchrony between your speech and actions is so precise
The world would be without vice if it were full of your kind
The destitute dine at the table of your benevolence
The chambers of your heart give room to the homeless

Bless you oh my soul so young but so old
I seek you in every cranny though you're right here inside my body
Rejection is the prize you get for striving to set me aright
Each time i succumb to your adversary, my heart

After all is done i come right back to you
A place i can call home and lay my head to rest
The yearning in my heart to reunite with you is so strong
Oh my soul make me whole so i can go back to where i belong
