Summer In India Poem by umaprosad das

Summer In India

Rating: 5.0

Summer knocks at doors; season takes another shift
The weather becomes hot and harsh affected by heat
The warm air begins to blow, Spring says goodbye
Water scarcity is to rise; birds and beasts start to sigh
Nature is kind enough to bless us offering a lot of gifts
Protects her living beings to beat the scorching heat
Never allows taking any undue advantage by any chance
So vegetables and fruits are available in abundance
They are so suitably grown by the blessings of Nature
It's wonderful to think how kind She is to Her creature
Watermelon, pineapple, papaya, guava, plum full of test
Mango is the king of fruits who doesn't want it the best
Some of the great fruits orange, lichi, grape, cucumber
Strawberry, blackberry, berry, jackfruit amongst other
Vegetables are cheap; sell out in market and door to door
Tomato, brinjal, pumpkin, ladies finger, and many more
Bitter gourd, bottle gourd, chilly have medicinal value
Yet to mention so many veggies and leaves are in due
Ramnavami, Ugadi, Bihu, Nil Puja so many festivals and fair
Celebrated all over the country with their near and dear
Many Indians celebrate New year 'Baishaki' in a joyous mood
Share their love and regards, friendship and brotherhood
