Summer I Poem by Missy Lynn

Summer I

Rating: 3.0

Now this is a little summer ditty
My papa sang to me
One day upon his knee
I remember it so clearly the day that I turned three
My little Missy Lynn
My Little Erin child
I am going away now for just a while
‘I’ll be back’ he said and smiled
And then he sang this song
You will miss me my child while I am away
But never you fret I will be back someday
And in that time shed not a tear
Remember whatever I always am near
He kissed all and said good-bye
I remember that so well
Like you always remember final farewells
