Sugarcoat: My Loveless Poem by Low Li Ling Jasmine

Sugarcoat: My Loveless

What is the heart of such stories?
To sugarcoat the truth or prove its sweet existence?
have I lost hope beyond repair?
Spin my web of lies, to only acknowledge what's the certainty in my life.

The lovers' faces of bliss sent pain spiking its cruel fingers into my heart
In the happiness of others, I could only see the shattered pieces of mine
I held disappointment at bay as I steeled myself not to care
To even burnt the paradise of my wishful thinking land

I think it's true we have to have a dearest, be it something or someone, to make our existence meaningful
I knew what is my treasure, it is shining brightly but it vaporised in the next instant moment

If you are coming for me, make your intention known
I did not want to mistake a passing knight in shining armour as my long awaited sparkling angel..again.
Till then, i will be loveless.
