Sufi's Past Time Poem by Sumita Jetley

Sufi's Past Time

In the quiet of the study, surrounded by life's art,
A modern Sufi sits, peace filling his heart.
Books whisper wisdom, plants breathe out calm,
In his smart attire, he recites his psalm.

Beads in hand, he whispers, 'God is one, '
Breaking chains of thought until they're undone.
Tea simmers softly, adding scent to prayer,
In moments of mindfulness, he finds solace there.
