Stranded Poem by Stuart Dingwall

Stranded

Out on a limb, all by myself
Watching from a distance
Families, lovers, friends, time out
All that's good, all that's wealth
Blissfully unaware
Stop this carousel, I want to get off
Does nobody think it matters what I want
Do they really just not care?
I'm here, I'm here, I have a life!
Young things to nurture
Cuts like a knife

No way out
Where's my crutch
Who'll carry me
When it's all too much?
Spiralling helplessly out of control
Stop now
I want to get off
