Storms Eye Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Storms Eye

Thunder roars amongst the stars,
lightening breaks the sky into million pieces.
I dropp to my knees,
to cover my ears.
The clashing noise echoes in my ears.
Like a snaredrum on repeat.
It was a deadman's dance.
A delicate dance.
Nights like this,
lives are always surrendered.
The essence such a storm possess,
is almost hypnotic.
To slip into a state of mind,
and not know completley what you're doing.
I lift my head,
and came to a stand.
I will not give my life,
simply so I can only defy this reckless storm.
I am just as reckless.
Like a tornado,
I destroy everything in my path.
I am no maker,
I am a destroyer.
