Stillness Poem by Elinor Auerbach

Stillness

Rating: 5.0

Deep in the depths of a lotus
Lies a stillness
Caught and held there like the gap Between
Two words
It lies undetected
As ears pass from one sound
To the next
And eyes form colour to colour,
Shape to shape.
It nestles among the petals
Like a newborn chick in it’s nest.
Invisible
Inaudible
And yet…
It is there.
I have no proof of it
And yet I know
Deep in the depths of a lotus
Stillness lies.

This is really a very beautiful poem, you really created a very special moment when everything is still. Bob

Once more you have captured the beauty of the moment... That one second between dreams and reality. Colin J...
