Still Waiting Poem by Andrew Shiston

Still Waiting

Sea lies in the harbour
Stone piers straddle the ebbing tide
Ferryboats still bob and turn
Bows on, moorings still tied
Weak chimes from the river cats
Spitting at reflecting puddles
Pictures of flat cottages
All in a minds eye
Waiting here, time stays still
For that reply.
