State Of Desire
I closed my eyes
Only to see you anew
As I’d never
Seen you before
Awash in the colors of
A dream
Buoyed by thoughts
Of you and I drifting away
On the gentile current
Of a meandering stream
Lifting these heavy lids
Of mine empty blackness
And pale moonlight greet
Me with a lonely shine
I shut them quick
To fall back asleep
To sweet dreams
Where I’m yours
And you are all mine
