Starlings (Me & She) Poem by Leighton J Rees

Starlings (Me & She)

Rating: 4.6

Me and she watch the starlings fly high in the sky,
So together unlike the people we see rush below.
They swirl into patterns adding color on grey,
As they dance around clouds that may get in the way.
Me and she are like starlings together as one,
My life was bleak like the sky until she came and shone.
When she's grown up and leaves me,
When she's flown from the nest,
To lead a busy life and make many friends.
I hope she will find time to see me,
I know she won't forget
To sit down beside me and watch the starlings together again

A beautiful poem. I'm sure she will come watch starlings with you again.
