Starless Poem by Alison Gaff

Starless

This morning is a starless sky
No moon or stars, I wonder why?
Are all the heavenly bodies asleep
As the dawn does gently creep

I see there is a small wispy cloud
But still no stars to shine out loud
Are they playing peek-a-boo
Laughing, watching me and you

Then one light shines so big and bright
Just one star in a starless night
Is it you looking down on me
Or just the space station I can see?
