Stanza # 37 Poem by John A. Hancock

Stanza # 37

Thou art friend and foe o' dark of night
Into thy face many a time I hath gazed
Oft we've battled till morning light
All for the want of a missing word or Phrase
The Talos are near spent
Tis to me a familiar scene
Until I am done
Sleep is all but a dream
