Standing By You
To my everlasting love Fatemeh Amirfazli*
Meanwhile we stand face to face,
Stuttering over words;
And the stream of statements is dusted;
For no good reason
I blush and you too;
The walls are demolished
And out of the debris they are reconstructed;
My prayer is filled with the scent of roses
And so is my room.
This is it.
This is all you see.
