Stand Tall Poem by Sierra Morrow

Stand Tall

Bad news of the worst
no time to say good-bye
no time to lay to rest
I'm trying not to cry
feelings stay repressed
not wanting any to see
all the things i wished for
things that can never be
so i wipe away my tears
stand up straight and tall
never showing my fears
you are no longer here
to catch me if i fall

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem when my mother passed away. It was sudden and no one saw it coming. There are so many things I wish I would have said and done before she left this world, but now I will never have that chance.
