Spirited Misfit Poem by Earnest Gatuma

Spirited Misfit

Rating: 5.0

My spirit animal is the Leopard,
I am a denizen of the dark,
I feel nocturnal for I only hunt when the owl hoots,
My tree is splattered with blood due to my hoists,
I mistake sometimes the ankh for the crucifix,
There is the typical dawn of the voodoo curse on the thirteenth,
I only have lucid dreams when Freddy Kreuger pays me a visit,
When I trance my spirit is displaced from my metaphysical box,
When astral projecting am levitating like the Shanghai monks.

It might be the demons on my shoulder keeping my cool,
Nelson Mandela's destiny would have been hasty if he got parole,
Necromancy practice made Vapula induce dire aspects of philosophy,
Quicksilver and silver exorcise demons according to ancient alchemy,
Sometimes I feel am a misfit in society like the nihilists and the Anarchy.
