Speak To Me Lovely, Dear Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Speak To Me Lovely, Dear

Rating: 5.0

Speak to me lovely, dear.
I’m all ears.
I can’t rid myself of myself?
True.I know.
So slow at sharing people’s griefs?
I agree.Totally.
I never give presents?
Oh, Yes.Holy me!
And do not wish to get one for free!
Presents tie you up.
I want to stay loose
As a goose! .
You complain about me
Not being the real me?
Probably.
And who is? You see?
Speak to me lovely, dear.
I’m all ears.
I wish you could sense the world’s hypocrisy.
And the difference there is between them and me.
My love is a love that loves sincere;
For no counterparts.
With no feelings excessive;
Thankful for your being here,
With me, in this house we share.
Thankful for the warmth you create
Around us.The embraces I receive from you
Though a few,
Are a token of your love for me, too.
Listen to me softly, dear.
Have no fear.
I never wished to depart from you.
And never will.
Yet, still I am part of you.
Till death shall decide for us two!
