SPARKLING

I could stay here forever and never leave
I could listen to the rush of water falling down
I could stand and let the wind caress my face
I could breathe in the fresh mountain air
I could stay here forever and never leave
I could listen to the beating of waves on the sandy beach
I could stand and let the wind caress my face
I could live with beauty all day at arm's reach
I could focus on the sparkles like diamonds lace
I could breathe in the fresh warm salty air
I could touch the heat in my windblown hair
I could with anyone, any place and time
or I could do all that in my mind..................

Poem of the Day

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
