Soul Mortgage Poem by Zotena Moses

Soul Mortgage

Rating: 5.0

My ways are vex
My soul is denied
of desired pleasure

I wish I engage the things I desire
My hands re lifted every hour
in the Lord's House
to express my gratitude to Him
to say thank you to Him
But my soul is mortgage for money

Tell me mentors
Why give me the lie
Saying; salvation, continuity, the
strength of my soul is a personal race?
The gathering of the righteous I forsook
now, I am vex
My soul is mortgage for money.

Then I said to myself
I quit, I Chase after the true pleasure
went on a fast dry fast
a while I was down and lifted
And a while my stomach grumbling
Reminded me;
They soul is mortgage for money.

Then I went out to survive
even as my soul survived
Yes! Continually my dear soul
answered to the true pleasure
My stomach answered to the false
pleasure
My soul is mortgage for money.

I say to the pleasure of Zion
My soul love's you
My false master said to me
Thy stomach loves me
My soul is mortgage for money.

Why is help far from me?
Why is my trials prolonged
Help my soul covenant of Zion
For my enemies sake
