Sonnet: A Prayer In Times Of Turmoil In Life Poem by Dr John Celes

I need you more than ever now, O Lord!
Diffuse the situation that looks adverse;
I'm yet to learn the meaning of your Word;
It seems that I cannot take my reverse!

If 'tis your Will, let things happen this way;
If not, let me accept my fate with cheer;
But tribulations will come any day;
Give me the peace of heart, removing fear.

I feel so weak although I know I'm strong;
When will things change and life be better still;
I cannot plan evil nor do things wrong;
Prevent my turning suddenly more ill.

This world looks crazy, clumsy all the more;
Open your heart of love, let mercies flow!
