Sonnet 96, Let Us Find Confidence... Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Sonnet 96, Let Us Find Confidence...

Let us find confidence in dreams we seek,
Let it be of pleasure we can call our own;
There's always a compromise and an atone,
In everything we do and words we speak.
Man has always been his own mildest critique,
Pluses and minuses - each foundation stone;
Some would say it's an element well known,
Or even of human nature: a mystique!
Each variation is of greatness equal,
Shades of our lives in our hopes and all fear.
Could we do but give answers big or small?
New ideas shall always come with a sequel
And long lived quarrels in another frontier,
For man never accepts his fault or fall.
