Sonnet # 9 Beauty Poem by John A. Hancock

Sonnet # 9 Beauty

Limpid pools of beauty your eyes doth be
As beautiful as the rising sun
The most priceless jewel in the universe be you
Who ever hast gain'd thy heart that man be a lucky one
A smile that would even light the darkest day
A laugh a man would give his all to hear
Your face be a poet's inspiration
For thou brings forth words of love each day of the year
Oh for my dreams to be fill'd with thy presence
I would treasure each moment thee appears
A vision I would hope could last for ever
If that be I would sleep a thousand years
Do not let thy heart be troubled
These are but words for thee to read
And I pray that when over glanced upon
Would bring a smile of joy to thee
