Sonnet # 54 Truly Poem by John A. Hancock

Sonnet # 54 Truly

Truly do I love thee
As I hath ne'er loved before
For you mended my lonely broken heart
When'st thee knock'd upon its door
Truly do I think of thee
Each hour of every day
For you are the inspiration guiding my thoughts
T'which conceived these heart felt words to you I say
Truly shall I cherish thee for I shan't
Forget all the years I spent alone
Searching for someone just like you
The most beautiful woman I have e'er known
Truly shall I treasure thee morning, noon, and night
For truly am I grateful you came into my life
