Song Of The Old Maid Poem by Stephen Taylor

Song Of The Old Maid

Oh, yes it's true, he's quite handsome
Sandish blond hair with blue eyes

Oh, yes he's witty, he makes me laugh all the time
Sometimes until I cry

No, he doesn't drink, nor smoke, or take drugs
He goes to church every Sunday, ministers to the thugs

Yes, he treats me like a lady, almost like a queen
He hardly ever shows his anger, he's never mean

He always tells the truth, he's never an accuser
If only he had some money, he wouldn't be such a loser!

HaHaHaHaHaHaHa! This one is priceless. I saw it coming from the first line on. I could have written this one myself. It is so true. It is enough to make a grown man cry. GW62
