Sometimes Poem by Laquory Jones

Sometimes

I've always hated to see people in pain why do we always say
That we're feeling fine knowing that we're really aren't
It's like a carving knife slicing through the core of the heart
People screaming all in one accord it's as if I'm sliced with a
Double edge wielding sword then emotions hits me more
They become harder to ignore I don't mean to be a bore
Knees buckling as they fall against the wooded floors
You don't understand how many times I've wished the pain away
Only for its scars to remain watching first-hand as people
Decay slowly breaking away so many thoughts literally filling
Up the brain (Richie you've gone insane)I know that men
Are not suppose to cry but it's hard sometimes to refrain
When the lipocalin and lacritin does their things helping
Tears create their water rings it's just life at her brink and
That's not how life was ever suppose to be sometimes it
Feels as if I'm wasting energy as an human being though at
Times it seemed that I've created memories in between

All our lives we're taught as human beings to bear the
Negatives, painful options and creatively digest the things
We can truly change pray for better tomorrows and bring in
Some hope today and perhaps the trajectories of our futures
Will bring out change then maybe we can pave the way
For future generations then the cycle just continues that's
Always been traditions paving and carving has always
Been the mission as we make decisions within our venues
Then it finally hits you that no one really gets "You" as we're
Searching for ourselves only going off the cards that we're
Dealt it's sad when no one can offer help and in due time
The pictures begins to melt and others can't help themselves
Perhaps we're locked in the past people are scared to even
Act quick to judge I'm only stating facts I too have slipped
Through crevices due to cracks (Richie you need to relax)
No doubt I've tried only for my thinking to hit its Climax
All my life I've been looking for a place to climb at
Wishing that I could turn these clocks back
Just to get those chimes back when everything was time-less
While gazing at Haley's Comet reminding me of how precious
Moments are few and price-less no matter how we slice them
