Something You Said To Me Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Something You Said To Me

Rating: 5.0

So many kind souls I've met
They take their time and speak with me
I love the connections
They make me feel free
And help me to see other sides of me
But something you said to me
Was so beautiful and sincere
I think about it and hold it dear
You said 'I love being your friend'
And I felt inside.....in here.
Thank you seems insufficient
and not enough
Because I know how you've had it rough
And to think that you felt my care...
I wish I was able to be right there
Because I won't let anyone treat you bad
I fee for you and the unfairness makes me mad
I want to be a fountain of love for you
from which you may always drink
whenever lonely thought's you're prone to think
I know how it feels when all of life is on the brink
Know that I'm just a simple man
In another life, in another land
But you can always hold my hand
because the two of us will understand
That love is just what you give
To people you love
And it's understood, if you could make love oneday you would
Because all of life is fragile and can disappear and go away
But where happiness is found....love has led the way
I love being your friend too
Maybe love is just knowing someone cares.
Thanks for letting caring shine through
In my heart, there is always a place now for you
