Something I Needed To Say Poem by Alice Cordy

Even though it wasn't there fully at the start,
there is something growing within my heart.
I am having these strange feelings,
wondering if I'm only dreaming.
Dreaming of a certain male,
hoping it will be more than a fairytale.
He makes my heart skip a beat,
which is surely a treat.

From our endless hours of talks,
to holding hand on our every walks.
From his humorous laugh,
as he has etched his autograph.
Constantly on my mine,
thoughts of being entwine.
When I think of his name,
only wanting to be his little dame.
There's thing that I have been told,
that tells me he has a heart of gold.

I want him to know,
within me there an inner glow.
One that is ever so bright,
brighter than any starry night.
My desire is to know him more,
that is something for sure.
He brightens my every day,
so it is something I needed to say.
