As rough winds shake the waters of our stable mind,
something from within, tells us just to remind,
how important it is for us to stay calm,
for it is not the time to be alarmed.
Yet a few listen to that something from within.

In a fit of anger, do we act, an unholy deed,
it is just another emotion from within indeed,
Something from within, tells us,
it is something to be avoided.
Yet a few listen to that something from within.

As dark thoughts of envy, blind our eyes,
Something from within, tells us it can make others cry
hurt relationships, no money can buy.
Yet a few listen to that something from within.

In the forest of life, often do we grope,
Something from within, tells us there is still a ray of hope.
We often do stray from the noble path,
and fall a victim of nature's wrath.
Yet a few listen to that something from within.

There are days, when decisions have to be made,
Something from within, tells us make no haste,
Take small steps one at a time, Many can tear you apart,
and make decisions from the bottom of your heart.
Yet a few listen to that something from within.
