Solitude Stranger Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Solitude Stranger

In the darkest moments of my thoughts,
you are there to calm me.
How many more nights will I be restless?
I always tell myself,
just one more.
I lay naked, exposed.
I am what I am.
I do what I do.
There be no need for harsh words.
I don't need my mistakes so carelessly flaunted.
What sick satisfaction could these people possible get?
From the tears they envoke.
I know what I've done,
why remind me?
When I take action,
why do you bother asking?
You're the ones who pushed me.
If I'd be born,
to a life of solitude.
Mistrusting and independance.
Surely, I'd be happier.
